Why do I need to verify my account?

To enjoy everything Betty has to offer, including depositing funds and playing games, your account must be verified. This is a required step to help keep your experience safe, secure, and compliant with regulations.

🕐 When Should I Verify?

We recommend verifying your account right after registering to ensure smooth access to all features and avoid any delays in gameplay.

Betty uses an automated verification system, so be sure to:

  • Enter your full legal name as it appears on your ID (no initials/short forms)

  • Use your correct date of birth (month/date/year)

This helps speed things up and improves your chances of being instantly verified.


📸 How to Verify Your Account

If auto-verification doesn’t work, you’ll be prompted to verify manually. Here’s how:

  1. Click the “Verify Identity” link (top-right corner of your account)

  2. Select “Start Verification”

  3. Upload:

    • A valid photo ID (Driver’s License, Passport, or Identity Card)

    • A selfie

💡TIP: Make sure the ID + selfie are taken in bright clear lighting 

🚫 Health cards are not accepted as valid ID.


📨 Manual Verification Option

If needed, you can also send your documents by email:

Email welcome@betty.ca with:

  • A valid photo ID

  • Proof of address (e.g., utility bill or bank statement)

💡TIP: Ensure all 4 corners of each document are visible, clear, and are unfolded. For proof of address, they must be issued within the past 3 months, and have a unique account identifer tied to you.
