If you’re using an Android device, Developer Options (also called Developer Tools) can interfere with our location verification system. This may cause errors when launching games.
To make sure your location can be verified correctly, please disable Developer Options before trying again.
📱 How to Disable Developer Options (Android)
-
Open Settings
-
Go to System
-
Tap Developer options
-
Toggle Developer options OFF
Once disabled:
-
Wait 5–10 minutes
-
Reopen the Betty app or browser
-
Try again
This short wait helps your device refresh its system settings before rechecking your location.
Also Good to Check
If you’re still having trouble after disabling Developer Options, try the steps below.
🚫 Disable VPNs or Interfering Apps
Some apps can affect how your location is detected, even if they’re running in the background.
Check for and fully disable:
-
VPN apps
-
Security, privacy, or location-masking apps
Make sure these apps are completely closed before continuing.
🌐 Switch Your Network
Changing how you connect can help reset location detection.
Try switching:
-
From Wi-Fi → Mobile Data
-
Or Mobile Data → Wi-Fi
Once switched, refresh the app or page and try again.
🔄 Restart the App
A full restart can clear cached location data.
On Android:
-
Open Recent apps
-
Swipe the app away
or -
Go to Settings → Apps → Betty → Force Stop
-
Reopen the app and log back in
Why This Matters
Betty is required to confirm that players are physically located in Ontario before allowing access to real-money games. Developer Options and certain apps can block or alter the location signals we rely on, even if your location services are turned on.
Disabling them ensures your device can share accurate, real-time location data.
